Cool Technology and Resources Worth Checking Out

Every once in awhile, we share some of the cool technology (other than CRM, of course!) that we think is worthy of mention and can benefit individuals and companies alike.

- Adobe Photoshop Express – something free from Adobe – create and store photo libraries
- RSS in Plain English – want to better understand RSS? Twitter, Social Media in general? Go to commoncraft.com and check these clever videos, all in easy-to-understand terms.
- Techsmith – Creators of Snagit, screen capture software. I can’t say enough about this easy-to-use software. It’s not free – it costs about $50 – but a worthwhile purchase.
- BigImg.it – this is very cool. Do you have an image that is too large for the space on your site, but you don’t want to crop it or reduce the size? This is a big image embed applet that allows you to pan and zoom an image.
- Marketing Profs – it’s a rich resource that offers actionable know-how to help you market your products and services better
- Wheremyfriendsbe – this app visualizes where your facebook friends reside. There isn’t an app yet that does the same for your fans, but nevertheless a really great tool.
- Eyejot – send video messages via email. Mike Lyon’s favourite sales tool!
- Evri – collect online content and keep track of your interests
- Instagram – a really neat way to take regular phone camera pictures and turn them into something pretty cool . . . and it’s free! (currently only for iphone)
- Simple Diagrams – a desktop application that helps you express your ideas quickly and easily.
- About.me – create your online business card. A custom profile and personal analytics dashboard. Easily create a profile and then point people to your content on the web.
- COLOURlovers is a creative community where people create and share colors, palettes, patterns, etc.
